My Christian name is Katherine and a part of my blood is of the Cherokee Nation. Upon completion of studies in Native American Philosophy, I was formally adopted by the Neches Cherokee Tribe and given the name Autumn Moon by their Indian name giver. Hence, Autumn Moon Creations. After studying their cultures and beliefs under Native Americans, I was taught the science of making peace within, to shine through in actions and sight. Native American designs, symbols, and legends are incorporated into my art. Here is a brief background of these creations and their symbolisms: The Indian pots were used in the past as carriers and are today carriers of my thoughts as they are being hand painted and detailed. The angels are for guidance and tranquility in which only spirituality can be transported. Animals, as we know, keep us in touch with Mother Earth and her many rewards. Each represents its own strength and freedom. The Indian people represent balance. Each is unique in their own way, but together with the angels and animals, complete the triangle of life.
My designs, come from within and each is handled with love. All of my creations are a part of me, forever living in especially individualized detail. Mother Earth, Father Sky, and The Wind, Rain, and Sunshine all help to create the palettes and colors of life around us.
